A Writer's Journey With Jeff

It's really been a few weeks of crazy writing productivity for me: * I just submitted an entry for this month's BOC (Best Opening Contest) on the Compuserve SF Literature Forum. It's been several years since I last tried it.
* I'm attempting to write a story for a third anthology contest this year. A conrete story idea hasn't formed in my mind yet, but I have until the end of December. It will happen.
* I'm getting my "writing muscles" in shape. I'll be attempting the Nanowrimo in November. This is a yearly competition for the National Writing month: you try to write a 50,000 word novel in the month. You're just trying for quantity, not quality... it's very possible that your output is crap when you turn off your internal editor.
I've always had a mental block when it comes to producing novel-length work. I'm hoping to break it with this.
