Writer's Journal: March

Here's something I haven't succeeded in doing in awhile: starting this journal before the month involved has passed!

*Sigh*

Week of February 26th - March 4th

I started to work on my next Comicopia zine this week, but I haven't had the energy to work on it as much as I'd like.

Most of the week was taken up by the start of my training as a Geocities Community Leader. Yep... I was accepted into the program!

Week of March 5th - 11th

Most of my free time this week was spent on my CL training. According to my mentor, I'm doing very well in it.

I also prepared my invoices for payment on my comic script, to be presented at a comic trade show on the weekend. It won't net me big money, but a) it'll complete my first writing sale in 2 years, and b) I'll finally have another credit to add to my resumé.

Week of March 12th - 18th

I gave in my invoice for payment on my comic script at a local trade show. My first writing revenues of the year will come to me by mid-April.

I'm still having a lot of trouble motivating myself to work on Comicopia right now... the fact that I've been unable to line up a paying job, and will soon be on Welfare again, has virtually crippled me for anything but being depressed.

At least there was some good news: as mentioned in my introductory sound clip and on my front Page, I passed the Community Leader Training. So, I'm now one of the "Grand Poobahs" (or harried slaves, depending on your viewpoint) of Geocities!

Week of March 19th - 25th

I finally pushed myself to work on Comicopia. I haven't missed an issue since we started, over 7 years ago. I won't let this be my first miss...
