A Writer's Journey With Jeff

A few things writing-wise have happened for me in the past few days: - The magazine I spoke of pitching ideas to sent me back an answer: it read like a form letter, but they said that right now they're just building up an idea of their writing pool available... when they officially launch the magazine, they'll start contacting the folks they're interested in quickly.
- My Apacalypse zine was ready on time. A thin offering at 11 pages, but at least I got it done on time!
- I hadn't heard anything from my editor at RPGAction in a month, so I tried one of the other editors.
Everything's still on -- in fact, the publisher of the game system I last reviewed wants me to get a copy of their next title to review too.
Proof that a fair review, even a negative one, still gets positive recognition.

I e-mailed a pitch to a magazine editor yesterday, to try to get some freelance writing contracts from them. The magazine claims to be youth-culture oriented, looking for work that fits that mold. Being as how I've been a professional wrestling columnist for several years now, I'd liike to parlay it into at least one piece.
Meanwhile, I just had a surprise: I checked out the Website for Guardians of Order, an RPG company I'm interested in writing for. I discovered that the line editor for the line I'm most interested in writing for is someone I used to know, and game with.
