A Writer's Journey With Jeff

Today's wordcount: 9771.
I was trying to make it to 10 thousand today, but fatigue ended that plan. But, fatigue wins out here. I'll make that big amount tomorrow morning.[>

I get ready for bed in a few minutes. I cleared 8070 words first.
Over 8K words in 3 days. If I break 10K tomorrow (and I'll be trying) and keep that pace up, I'll have my entire novel done by the 20th.
This would make my 3rd year my best yet.
Even more impressive to me: all those words so far have just been character development. I have barely begun to get into the meat of the plot.

5663 words? Wow, I'm 3rd in the top 10 for Montreal right now! 3 words away from the 4th place writer. Maybe I'll climb higher, maybe not. This was only the 2nd day, and I'm a day ahead of my word quota, but that can change. I won't get a big head because of it.
One thing that's keeping me on the ground: my "rival" in Edmonton is still 1000 words ahead of me. I'll just keep trying to catch up.

I already made my word quota for the day, and I'm just taking a break to shower. 2007 word already!
I hope I'm able to maintain the pace. 29 days to go.

So it begins...
NaNoWriMo began 48 minutes ago. I was hoping to clear a thousand words before I went to bed, but fatigue beat me to it. 656 words in 48 minutes is a good start though.
If I keep the pace, I'll make my word target for Tuesday.
